SCG Showcases Breakthrough Low-Carbon Cement and Green Tech at Cemtech Asia 2026

This breakthrough thermal energy storage solution captures intermittent renewable power, converting and storing it as high-temperature thermal energy at up to 1,500°C.

Boasting a 97% energy recovery efficiency and a lifespan of more than 40 years, it guarantees a continuous 24/7 supply of clean heat to decarbonize intense manufacturing processes.
The facility also features cutting-edge Refractory Solutions by The Siam Refractory Industry Co., Ltd. (SRIC).
Among these is the world’s first Anti-Hydration brick, which effectively extends material shelf life from 6 to 24 months, cutting down production downtime and boosting efficiency.
Furthermore, SRIC displayed the specialized high-performance thermal media blocks co-developed with Rondo Energy to support long-term clean energy stability.

To further offset heavy industrial carbon impact, SCG highlighted its operational Solar Floating array installed over the plant’s reservoirs.
The setup generates 16.6 million kWh of clean electricity annually, mitigating over 8,000 tons of CO2 equivalent emissions per year.
By optimizing existing resource layouts, SCG illustrates how renewable energy can seamlessly power heavy manufacturing.
As Cemtech ASIA 2026 concluded, SCG firmly cemented its role as a trusted global industry partner.
